Big Day Out

For this week blog I need to write about my favourite moments and my events at school this year. So my favourite moments in this school is Sport Fest. For the sport fest I was playing dodgeboll. The people in the group was Katherine C, Calvin, Jarden,, Katherine R, Catherine M, Tyler and Ethan. I like the sportfest because we played as a team, and it was a great feeling to be part of a team sport, we didn't win, but as a team we allhad a lot of  fun, and that is the good thing about sport to have fun. I can't really remember other thing. But I also remember a favourite moment is the Spring Fair. The spring fair was so cool and nice because many people came to see the fair and what was for sale.

Next year

Today for my blog, I need to write about next year. I feel scared because I need to do many things in college and I  need to make new friends. The college I am going to is Onslow. I have many friends in St. Benedict. I love my best friends so much. I also like being a year 8 because my teacher is so nice. I will try my best to learn many things in the college . I like being a year 8. The thing that I will try to do my best is in sport because I am so bad at sport.

Book Week

For this week's blog, I need to write about 3 of my favourite book week events. So on Thursday we had Kate De Goldi come to our school and she was taking about how do she write
a book. She also told us about her when she was a little girl. My second favourite is the book character day on Friday. On Friday, we did many things like quiz, model and much more. They have many people but not everyone needed to answer the quiz. But Murphy won for the quiz thing. For my last one is the model, it was before morning tea, it was so cool because I saw lots of people wear different characters like snow white, star war, Cinderella, pacohantas and  the cat in the hat.
I think the last Friday was the best day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cinderella

 My favourite book when I was small was Cinderella. My mum always read this book to me when I went to bed. This story is about a girl that has a stepmother and two stepsisters that is really mean to her. Her father just passed away because he was sick. Her stepmother was mean because she asked Cinderella  to do all the work in the house. One day, they were invited to a castle for a party. The stepmother and her stepsisters know about the party and they did not allow Cinderella to go. But Cinderella wanted to go to the party but her stepmother said no !!!!!!!!!!!!! But Cinderella's fairy god mother made her go to the party by giving her a beautiful dress. Then a prince came and gave her a kiss but she needed to go because the time the 12. Sorry this isn't very good, because I can't remember anymore about the story but I tried my best.

I hope you like Cinderella as much as I do.

AFL

On Thursday, we are doing AFL. That was so cool because we can learn many thing about America Football. Like handball and much more. Sorry because I don't remember the other stuff. But I know it, but I can't remember what it's called. The person that taught us was cool because he told us a lot of stuff. And his name was Sam. I hope that I can learn a lot of stuff about AFL. I like AFL very much because I'm not very keen on football but this make's me feel happy to learn and play.

My favourite book

My favourite book is butterfly Club by Jacqueline Wilson. This book is about three girls that are  sisters. One day, they went to school, but the youngest sister always gets bullied by her friends.

But her sister always tries to help her from the bullies. One day the girl took her teddy bear to school and the bullies came and saw the teddy bear. Suddenly, the bully saw the teddy bear and took it from the girl. But at the end the bully and the girl became friends forever.

My Future Job

Today I'm going to talk about my ideal future job and why it appeals to me. So for my future job is to be a primary teacher. I like to be a teacher because it make me learn more about Maths in the school or college. So in college I will take Maths, Science, English and Chinese. I want to become a teacher because I think to be a teacher is a nice job and help children to learn many thing. And makes children feel like they always want to go to school.


My questions is to be a teacher. Is it a good job? 

Holiday

In the holiday, I went to my auntie's house for 2 weeks. At my auntie's house I did many things  like go to my auntie's friends. At my auntie's friends house I went to Taupo and saw many things it was so cool. I stayed at my auntie's  house for 2 weeks. In week 1, My auntie brought us to the movies with our families. We watched a movie called minions and they were so funny and cute. After that we went to a sushi shop to get some sushi. In week 2, we went to a farm and we saw a puppy and it was so cute I love puppies so much. At Friday we went back to wellington. So that was my holiday.

Art

This week I need to write about  photos of my favourite pieces of art that I have done. I also have to upload a photo of my favourite piece of art from another class.

My favourite art that I have done is the space invaders. We did it for the art exhibition on Thursday evening.

I also like the Space final frontier art in room 12. I like it because  it has beautiful colours. Room 12 did a very good job with it.

 

I had a nice week with my friends and my classmates because we did a lot of drawing together. At the art exhibition heaps of parents came to our school and I think  they enjoyed the art very much.

Poem

This week we need to write about the best poem you have written over the last few week. So for my poem it is about a dog.

The poem is:

When I was a small girl

I got a dog from my parents

His has beautiful brown fur

and a small curly tail

I like playing with my dog

in the afternoon

My dog likes his dog food

He also like barking at people

I like this poem because I like dog so much.

Willem Van Aelst

This week, we need to write about our favourite artist.I am going to say what I like about him and say a bit about  two of his artworks I chose. So I picked Willem Van Aelst which is a Dutch Golden age artist who specialized in still life painting with flowers or games. He was born on the 16th of May 1627 in  Delft, Netherlands. He died in the year 1683 , Amsterdam, Netherlands. I like him because of his beautiful art work and his designs.

Regional Sportfest (Dodgeball)

This week we need to write about how our day went at the Sportsfest. Our team  had so much fun. I was in the mixed dogeball team with Katherine C,Calvin, Grace Katherine R,Catherine M, Tyler, Ethan and Jarden. We won 3 games and we lost 2games. We won because of teamwork.I helped to support my team by supporting them . The venue and organisation worked well. We got a trophy for third place. If I were to change something it would be for the bus to come earlier because parents were getting worried about their children.

Art

This week we need to write about art and if we enjoy it. I really  like art because art can  help us to draw. I like to do art because art can make us draw many things. I'm not very good at art but I will always try to draw beautiful art. My mum is so good at art and I always ask my mum for help if I have art homework. My brother is also good at art but he is not as good as my mum.`

My dinner with Cho Kyuhyun and Hillary

This week for my blog we need to write about two people that you would like to invite for dinner.


I will like to invite Cho Kyuhyun to come to my house for dinner. And I will talk to him about why I want to meet him because his is my favourite singer. I will ask him if he wants to perform in Wellington.

 I  would also like to invite my best friend Hillary because he was the one who was always nice to me. I want to invite him because I want to ask him about my old school. I would also ask him about how he is.

My Memories With My Grandma

I have a very kind grandma. My grandma has a very lovely laugh and  my grandma also has  beautiful hair. My grandma and I always play together. My grandma has a beautiful garden and she also loves to do gardening in the afternoon. I always play in my grandmas garden. I only have one grandma. One time I was crying, suddenly my grandma came and gave my a lollipop. When we came to New Zealand my grandma was crying and I told my grandma to not cry because when she cry I cry too. I hope I can see my grandma again and I miss my grandma so much.

Holiday

In the holiday I went to my aunt and sisters house. On the first week I was going to my aunt house, on Saturday we was going to cinema. At the cinema went to watch a movie call Minions. After then we also have our dinner at the restaurant. On the week 2 I was going to my sister's house. My sister's  picked me up. At my sister's house I did many thing like going to the forest and swimming pool. After a few days my dad came and picked me up form my sister's house. I enjoyed my holiday and I hope I can go to my aunt and my sister's house again in the next holidays.

Nairnville

At Nairnville we played rippa rugby and soccer. I liked playing the games because it was really fun.  I have never played rippa rugby and soccer before so I learned how to play rippa rugby and soccer. I want to learn how to play rippa rugby from my brother and I also want to learned how to play soccer from my sister because I will like to make myself good at the game. I want to play badminton and basketball because I like to play it and it makes me happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

German

In Room 11 we have been learning how to speak German and I like German. I have learnt how to say Good morning in German it is Guten Tag. We learnt many things in German. I really like to know how to speak the German language. When I'm at college maybe I can take German because it can help  me learn more about German. 

EPIC

I try to help and understand my friends when they have a problem. Also I try to find the answer to help them because my friends always help me and I like to help them. And I want to be a good friends to my friends because my friends always give the best they can. I'm not vey good at Creativity. This is something  I still need to work on.

Ella and Olivia

In this book I read about the Ella and Olivia. The book is about two sisters. Ella is the older sister and Olivia is the younger sister and they have a younger brother called Max. Yesterday I read the book and the book was about them making cupcakes for their father because it was their fathers birthday. They were making cupcakes and the cupcakes were so beautiful, they didn't tell their father that they made  cupcakes for him, and their mother came to help them to bake cupcakes,  their father came to the kitchen. They said to their father to not come to the kitchen, their father said "ok, I won't come to the kitchen again." They made many cupcakes. Later, they gave the cupcakes to their father but the cupcakes fell on the ground. Their father said "it's ok Ella and Olivia."
I would recommend 10 years old people to read it book.

The Galapagos Islands

I liked watching the video of the Galapagos Islands because there wasn't much work involved. I learned many things about the Galapagos like how the Giant Tortoise got to the islands, how Marine Iguana evolved and the whale shark is the biggest fish in the world. On the Galapagos Islands there are many animals and they are very cute. I also learned about the different plants on the islands. So overall I loved learning about the Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos islands have many evolution animals and I very enjoyed the Galapagos island. I would like to learn about World War 2 next term.

Responsibilities

I want to be librarian because it's cool, I want to help people and I like reading books. I also want to be a librarian as it can help us to read more books and it can help us to learn many things.
And I also want to do First Aid because I can help people that are hurt. I like to help people that are hurt. :)

ASB

Today at school, a guy from ASB came to our class. I found the lesson worthwhile because he taught us about money. I learnt more things about money and how to save money. I also learnt about the CAT[Clear action time]goals. My financial goals is to save up enough money to buy an iPhone 6.I think I manage my money well. How I can manage my money well in the future is to not spend my money on things I don't need.

mission fair

Last Friday at school we had our Mission Fair. My group made Cupcakes, Chocolate Marshmallows and biscuits. We also did heaps of games. I made cupcakes , my friends made  chocolate marshmallows and biscuits. My friends and I enjoyed the mission fair. I really  liked working with my group.

Anzac Day

Recently, we have been studying about Anzac soldiers and Gallipoli. I learnt about how Anzac soldiers died and the conditions they were living in. I also learnt about the steep hills and trenches the soldiers had to face. And at hot conditions, disease killed faster than bullets. I very enjoy learnt about

Gallipoli.
